Help us understand your dream property & location:

1) Do you have a region and/or cities in mind? If yes, where?

2) Do you want to be on or near a coast? Would you consider living on an island?

3) Will this be your residence or a vacation home?

4) Do you have any architectural styles you love/hate? For example, would you love a liberty style villa, but hate a chalet style mountain home? To a certain extent building styles are dictated by regions and materials available to builders (eg the Trulli built out of limestone in Puglia or tufo in the Campania region).

5) Do you prefer an apartment or a stand alone home?

6) Do you prefer a home in, or very close to a larger city (e.g. Florence, Bologna, Rome or Napoli) or in the countryside with some land attached? If the latter, how much land? And, do you want planted agriculturally productive land with olive trees or vineyards?

7) Distance you are willing to be from a major/international airport?

8) Do you have a size requirement for the living space? For example, do you require a certain number of bedrooms? A house with separate living quarters for guests or helpers? A minimum number of bathrooms? A garage? A swimming pool or the possibility to install one pursuant to the local norms?

9) Do you want move in ready or how much in renovations are you willing to do? Some homes may technically be habitable but would require updates; whereas others may be rudere/rustici or old abandoned country homes in a variety of conditions from total ruins to incomplete structures to properties that may just need a few modern updates.

10) Do you have a deadline for purchasing? For renovations/move in?

11) Do you have any other goals or considerations you’d like to share with us? Some examples may include:

   i) I must live near a communal swimming pool or town with a tennis facility or golf course (not so many of these in Italy btw).
   ii) Or, it is important to me to be able to use public transport to get around as I do not drive.
   iii) Or, I am a horse lover, so would like a house with a barn and paddock.
   iv) Or, I do not want to live in an expat hub, preferring to live in areas less popular with expats.
   v) Or, I prefer to live in a community where I am not the only foreigner, but instead blend in due to the more anonymous nature of larger towns/cities.
